One day George (the idea man) commented on the amount of books and knick-knacks that Lynda had acquired on her glorious travels. He lovingly mentioned, “You ought to get a store and sell all of this stuff.”

So she did. Lynda moved her stock into an upper level space in the River Center on the east side of Pagosa Springs. The doors opened on May 1, 1998 as a used book store / curio shop. When asked, “what is the name of your store?” She scanned the store and said, “we are a Hodge Podge.” The original book store had a certain Bohemian charm and coziness that was infectious to bibliophiles, curiosity seekers, and tourists alike.

Today, we have expanded our offerings to include a compilation of all the smaller shops George and Linda started over the years, always keeping the Used Book section intact. It’s an experience to anyone looking for a little nostalgia, a little fun and a lot to see!
